Graphic Design Festival Scotland

The first ever Graphic Design Festival Scotland is well underway here at The Whisky Bond.

The festival will host an exciting programme of workshops, competitions, talks, exhibitions, urban murals and live stream discussions between 22nd-26th of October.

       

The events are participation-based and aim to inspire young designers through active engagement. GDFS’s goal is to promote networking, creativity, learning, collaboration, friendly competition and importantly, to have fun.

       

Wednesday and Thursday hosted a live 2-day project – 2 days of intense productivity in a large, open-plan, high-energy environment, with the group of participants, all working on the same brief in their own direction and with their own interpretation. Leading design studios such as Graphical House and Risotto were on-hand, offering advice and one-to-one creative direction.

Winners were then picked by judges Grafik Magazine, Itsnicethat, INT Works and Sarah Boris of Phaidon.

     

   

With three days of workshops, music, talks, a launch party and exhibition still to come there is still plenty of time to get involved!
