As part of the ongoing GREEN2014 programme, Architecture and Design Scotland has been invited to curate Pretty Vacant at The Whisky Bond for the first time. Here a range of speakers will give their own take on transforming vacant space, animating public space and urban food growing.

To follow on the success of last year’s event we’re organising another Summer Party to invite tenants, friends and neighbours from the local community to the building for a day of workshops, good food, drinks, music, fun next to the canal and guaranteed sun.

Held in the Bothy at the Whisky Bond, the Brave New Now design dinner will act as a platform open discussion about design within the city complete with amazing food from Babu Kitchen, insight from top speakers and good company.

As part of the GENERATION programme and alongside our exhibition Mood is Made / Temperature is Taken GSS ran an ambitious engagement project titled Mood is Made / Teenagers Take Over that targeted children and young adults from 12-20 years old to learn, lead and participate in contemporary art.
