Collaborators Jessica Warboys and Morten Norbye Halvorsen will present recent films and recordings at Glasgow Sculpture Studios. A trilogy of films – Stone Throat (2011), Pageant Roll (2012) shown in ‘The Objects’ at GSS, and Warboy’s latest film Ab Ovo (2013) – will be screened. Each film uses a set of sounds and musical counterpoints by Halvorsen. These are heard in collaboration with the visual recording of natural landscapes, which help create a frame for the animation of objects and the unravelling narratives within the works. Shown alongside film footage of recent performances and sound recordings that explore similar territory; the artists will discuss these within the wider context of both their individual and collaborative practice.

This event is presented in dialogue with the recent exhibition ‘The Objects’, 16 February – 6 April 2013 at GSS.
